About Settle

We're a fintech company. Debt is our problem to solve.

Settle is a fintech company of builders and operators. The debt space is one of the most broken corners of consumer finance — opaque, adversarial, and slow for everyone in it. We started with the hardest knot: settlement. A single protocol where a funded offer is verified, matched, and cleared — fairly, and on the record. It's the first problem we've taken on, not the last.

Disclosed operator

Settle is always the named operator on the network. Every party knows who facilitates the settlement and on what terms — no hidden intermediaries.

No custody, ever

Funds move consumer → creditor on rails the parties already use. Settle attests and routes; it never holds a balance. Less risk, fewer licenses, cleaner audits.

An open standard

The settlement object is a published, RMAI / AFCC-aligned spec. Adopt the standard, not a proprietary lock-in. Anyone can implement it; everyone benefits from the rails.

Why we exist

Both sides were losing.

Consumers who wanted to resolve a debt couldn't get a real, binding number without weeks of back-and-forth. Creditors and debt buyers, unable to verify that an offer was actually funded, defaulted to selling paper for pennies or writing it off entirely. Debt-resolution firms burned their margins chasing each creditor across a different portal, fax line, or spreadsheet.

Settle fixes the missing piece: proof. When funding is attested at offer time and the account is resolved to the right holder, a settlement stops being a negotiation and becomes a clearing event. Everyone keeps more — the consumer settles for less, the creditor recovers far more than a sale, and the DR firm scales without adding headcount. And every part of it is built to feel frictionless: it should be a pleasure to settle a debt and rebuild from here.
